Receive hands on experience with video cameras
Receive hands on editing experience


Description

Did you know that you have all the tools you need to produce a professional quality video? If you have access to a digital camcorder and an average computer, you already have all the resources that you need to create dazzling productions for your family and friends. We'll provide you with all the knowledge you need to unleash your inner Spielberg. Come to this hands on session, and take your place in the director's chair.


Lesson Plan

This lesson plan is for a track, rather than a one hour workshop.
Camera & Video Etiquette (35 minutes)
Describe project, get into groups, and pass out advertisement ideas. (15 minutes)
Groups write out script for commercial (30 minutes)
Video Commercials (30 minutes)
15 minute Break (Finish filming if needed)
Teach basic Movie Maker (capture, storyboard/timeline, transitions, titles) (30 minutes)
Edit Video (45 minutes)
