Goals
- Participants will gain the basic skills necessary for communicating safely in a digital world
- Participants gain a general understanding of e-mail and list serves
- Register for, create and join a Yahoo! group
- Register for AIM, understand basic IM and chat-room procedures
- Understand how to safely setup and use on-line journaling (or blogs)
- Participants will master basic E-mail skills using hotmail and other free E-mail programs (For use at SLF)
Description
Want a convenient way to get in touch with the untouchables? Come learn how to effectively and safely communicate with others on-line. This session will equip you with all of the skills you will need to stay afloat in this age of digital communication. From Instant Messaging, to on-line journaling and mass E-mail systems; we'll cover it all! Come on down and get connected to the 21st Century!
