GoalsLearn basic farm management skills DescriptionDo you think you could play games and learn at the same time? Well in this workshop that is exactly what you are going to do. You will learn how to strategize, learn money-managing skills, and learn how to fly a plane, all by playing simulation games. Be prepared to have fun and also to learn new skills. Lesson Plan(5 min) Icebreaker (name and where you would go if you could go anywhere in a sim)
(5 min) tie games into reality / tie games into projects (5 min) go over different types of controllers (5 min) introduce game 1 (Flight Sim, Sim Farm, Age of _____, MechCommander 2) (10 min) tutorial/play on game 1 (5 min) introduce game 2 (10 min) tutorial/play on game 2 (5 min) introduce game 3 (10 min) tutorial/play on game 3 (5 min) recap, questions, evaluations Notes: Choosing two games and allowing more play time (or even one, such as Sim Farm) seems to work the best and can keep the workshop closer to the 45 minute mark.
